Personal Empowerment and the Power to Change Your Reality

Start Changing Your Reality

When talking about changing one’s reality, we often speak about the actions we take in more of a physical sense. However, what’s actually more effective and important is changing the way you think. By changing your thoughts you can change your reality.

Sounds simple right?

Not quite.

If you’re going to change your reality with your thoughts, it’s important that you do this in a specific way.  This specific form of thinking is referred to as coherent intention.

In order to achieve this, there are a few steps you should be taking and some things you should understand about how to set coherent intentions.

The Power of Positive Thinking

Being positive, while very powerful, requires some focus as well. Here are some things that you should be practicing in addition to thinking positively and applying your coherent intentions.

  1. Focus on the same thing every day.
  2. Believe fully in your thoughts
  3. Match your actions to your thoughts
  4. Conduct your life in a way that is truly in line with your thoughts

Now that you have these tips in mind, where do we start?

The Most Important First Step You’ll Ever Take

Before focusing your efforts on where you want to go or what you want to do with your life, it’s important to recognize what brings you peace. Consider what makes you tick. What drives you toward negative places such as anger and frustration?

Recognizing what triggers us to go to these negative spaces will allow us to face it head-on and create a plan to counter these negativities.

  1. Identify what brings you peace
  2. Recognize your ticks and triggers
  3. Make a plan

Considering these things that make you excited, that makes you feel passionate while also knowing what could hold you back will allow you to constantly think about how to put your plan into action.

Take Things Day by Day, then Week by Week, Month by Month

As you begin to focus on your plan, your future, and what you want, take everything in stride. Not every day will be a good day but what’s most important is how you react. Take control of your thoughts in a positive way that allows you to move forward, even when your negative thoughts threaten to hold you back.

Each day will require you to put forth more than just positive thoughts, it requires positive action. By focusing on your goals, you can focus on your future but more importantly, you intentionally focus on your present, thus changing your reality.

Start Changing Your Reality Today

As humans, we tend to have invasive thoughts that tend to hold us back from taking chances on ourselves. It’s natural and it’s a part of the process. Understanding that it’s never too late to make your dreams your reality is one of the most beautiful aspects of life. Start changing your thoughts, and applying your actions, and you’ll start seeing your entire reality and life change all around you.

5 Tips for Achieving Your Goals in 2022

How Can You Achieve Your Goals this Year?

Believing that you can achieve your goals requires you to first convince yourself that you can. People are often their own worst critics or their own biggest doubters, questioning their own abilities to do things and accomplish goals. If you end up in this negative state of mind and convince yourself that you can’t do something, how can you possibly achieve that goal? Once you convince yourself that you can’t, you will likely give up and never even try. But if you convince yourself that you can, you might surprise yourself. Eleanor Murkey is a dynamic certified life coach who teaches self-empowerment by helping people to convince themselves that they can achieve their goals.

What Kind of Goals Should You Set?

In reality, there are no goals that you should decide are out of your reach. As an example, earlier this month Erin Jackson won an Olympic gold medal for Team USA in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. She had only started ice skating about five years earlier in 2016. While it may have seemed crazy if she had said I want to win an Olympic gold medal in this event one day, that is exactly what happened five years later. But, it didn’t happen overnight nor with a single goal. In order to achieve your bigger end goals, it helps to set a series of smaller goals. What will you accomplish this year – this month – this week – today – this hour? These smaller goals should be realistic and attainable. You can allow them to build on one another, like small steps that form a staircase up towards your end goal.

Here are five helpful tips to keep you on track with achieving your goals this year.

1) Write Your Goals Down

It all starts with a few words on a page. This is what I want to accomplish. If you write it down more frequently and reread it, it will engrain in your mind. This will also help to give you clarity on exactly what your goal is.

2) Take Immediate Action

Saying that you will start tomorrow or soon might lead to you never getting started. Don’t put your goals off, instead take immediate action. Even if it’s a very small step, even a small step in the right direction is progress towards your goal. At Murk Resource, Inc. we offer Murk Programs that teach you how to take ownership of your own life.

3) Be Ready to Fail

Failure is inevitable in life and we all experience it. When you plan for it and can embrace it when it comes, you will feel more empowered and equipped to overcome it. Regroup, focus, and get yourself back on track when obstacles get in the way.

4) Hold Yourself Accountable

Don’t make excuses or go too easy on yourself. Nobody else wants you to achieve your goals as much as you want to, so don’t depend on them to hold you accountable. Depend on yourself, and be someone that you can depend on.

5) Seek Out Help

While ultimately you need to be able to depend on yourself, that doesn’t mean you’re not allowed to seek out help from others. Coaches, teachers, mentors, friends, family, or coworkers can be hugely important for your success. Nobody accomplishes anything entirely alone. While it’s important not to depend entirely on others, it is also important not to see seeking help as a failure or a weakness, but to instead think of it as a positive resource used to help work towards the goal.
